FAQs
ABOUT MY PRODUCTS:
Do you sell new or used products?
Both.
Your site seems so… RANDOM. What is this store even about?
I’m glad you asked! The variety in my store reflects my own diverse interests. Living with ADHD and being on the Super Spectrum, my passions are broad and eclectic, sometimes appearing unrelated. You can learn more about me in the “About Me” section.
My home is clean, kitty-friendly, and non-smoking. This is, after all, Crouton’s Store (I’m just the manager). She inspects each order to ensure it meets her high standards. Despite our best efforts to keep things tidy, your order might include a random Crouton hair.
Since this is my second job, orders ship out every other day. We take care to pack each order perfectly, ensuring the items are correct and meet our quality standards. The packing process is videotaped and archived on our server.
DO YOU TAKE CUSTOM ORDERS?
Not at this time. I work a full-time job and don’t have the availability to take on custom orders. Custom work doesn’t suit my creative process—I excel when I can create without pressure. This approach allows my products to truly shine.
ABOUT AI-GENERATED REFERENCE IMAGE SOURCES:
Do you use AI-generated images?
I use AI as a tool to create customized reference images for my own art. While what you see might be inspired by an AI generation, the final artwork is not AI-generated. I use AI to help me visualize what I’m trying to create, similar to studying the works of other artists for inspiration—after all, all artists borrow in some way. However, I do not pass off AI images as my own art.
I understand that AI is a complex and sometimes controversial subject. I don’t hold any particular opinion on whether people should or shouldn’t use AI-generated images. For me, AI has made it much easier to visualize what I want to create, which was often a challenge in the past.
ABOUT THE GLITTER, MICA POWDERS, CHAMELEON FLAKES, AND CHROMASHIFT POWDERS I USE:
Where do you source your glitter?
I mainly source glitter from The Glitter Guy, Counter Culture DIY, MNG Supply Co, and Glitter Chimp. Occasionally, I use Peachy Olive Glitters and Amazon Glitter Bundles. I prefer these suppliers because of their excellent customer service and community engagement on Facebook groups. Even when I take breaks from resin crafting, I always return to these amazing products and companies.
I source my Chameleon flakes from Counter Culture DIY, Woode’s Goodies, and Let’s Resin. Woode’s Goodies offers vibrant colors and entertaining product names.
For Mica Powders, I use Glitter Chimp, Let’s Resin, Eye Candy, and Counter Culture DIY.
ABOUT THE RESINS I USE:
Is the resin you use food-safe? What resins do you use?
I wouldn’t consider it food-safe or recommend using it to serve or display food that will be consumed.
I use Counter Culture DIY, Let’s Resin, and Sophie and Toffee epoxy resins for castings and tumblers.
Where do you get your molds?
I’ve sourced molds from the former Maple Street Supply, Amazon, Let’s Resin, and Counter Culture DIY.
UV Resins: I use Counter Culture DIY and Let’s Resin.
YOU 3D PRINT TOO?
What do you 3D print?
I create a variety of items with my 3D printer, including replacement toy parts, custom dolls, nail charms, home decor, and meditation tools for my Yoga and Sound Healing practice. If you can name it, I probably make it.
Where do you get your 3D print files?
I purchase them from Etsy and Cults3D and credit each designer on my product pages.
Do you create your own files or take custom orders?
Not at the moment—I’m still learning 3D modeling software.
What printer do you use?
I use the Elegoo Jupiter SE, which I find amazing. Elegoo’s customer service is also top-notch.
THE YOGA THING? WHAT? YOUR STUFF IS SO RANDOM AND WEIRD THOUGH…
Yes, I’m an RYT 200 Yoga Teacher and Certified Sound Healer. While I don’t have the time to teach in person as much as I’d like, I offer online workshops, classes, and healing sessions. All of my classes can count toward continuing education hours with Yoga Alliance or as part of an RYT training program.
Yes, it’s random. I teach random classes and offer random-themed healing sessions. Structured classes like Vinyasa weren’t my style, which I realized early on. You can find more details in my “About Me” page.
Where did you train?
I earned my 200 RYT in 2022 at River Rock Yoga and Pilates in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, under Moira Anderson and Laura Tyree. If you’re looking for a transformative experience, I highly recommend their program.
CRAFT BLANKS AND CUSTOMIZABLE ITEMS:
For custom laser-cut wood blanks, I recommend Wicked Gold. Her products are exceptional, and she’s an awesome person.
SCULPTING PRODUCTS:
I use Sculpey, Polly Plastics, Amaco, and other clay brands, which I mostly purchase on Amazon.
I also use adorable clay cutters that I’ve bought on Amazon and Etsy.
CUSTOM DOLL MAKING AND REPLACEMENT PARTS:
I source supplies from various places, mostly on Amazon, but I also get vintage dolls from sellers on eBay and Mercari.
NAIL ART SUPPLIES:
I’m a big fan of Nailz by Dev’s products—they’re perfect for anyone nostalgic about the 90s.
Currently, I’m using products from Modelones, Makartt, Saviland, Born Pretty, Azure Beauty, Beetles, and MelodySusie. I incorporate these supplies into my other art forms as well.
I get my Nail Dip Powder and Acrylic Powder in bulk from Sheba Nails.
VINYL:
Siser, all the way.
VINTAGE TOYS AND DOLLS:
Most of my vintage finds come from my best friend, Skylar Baxter, owner and operator of Rainbow Rewind (aka 90’s Rainbow Rewind).
